Thank you for considering 2nd Chance Restoration for your future cabinet project!
Here’s a little bit of information on how we approach each job. Our background is in furniture restyling, not in painting walls. Each and every cabinet door and drawer gets treated like furniture and not part of a mass production line.
You will not need to empty your cabinets—we will take great care to minimize dust and clean as
We remove all the cabinet doors and the drawer fronts (when possible) and they return to our workshop with us. Please be sure to remove items from the drawers that would limit our access with the screwdriver.
The bases of your cabinets/island will be cleaned, sanded and deglossed to start. We have a 3 part coating system that begins with an extreme bonding primer being applied on the bases. Typically we will be in your home for 3-5 hours this day, depending on the size of your kitchen.
The second part of our coating system is the intermediate coat which is the first application of
paint. It starts to look real now! Typically we will be in your home for 3-5 hours this day, depending on the size of your kitchen.
The final part of our coating system is the finish coat of paint. Typically we will be in your home for 2–3 hours this day, depending on the size of your kitchen.
This is an optional day to do any touchups, or an additional coat of paint if required.
We won’t return until the weekend to do the final installation of your newly painted doors/drawers, so you can relax and enjoy your open shelf concept for just a few more days.
Your quote includes all labor and paint/materials necessary to complete your project, but does not
include tax). Requests outside the scope such as changing hardware, hole changes, repairs, etc. are handled separately and agreed upon outside of this scope.
