During this monthly workshop series, we will create simple home decor pieces, learn a variety of paint mediums, and how to use some basic power tools. Classes will be held in our workshop in Monroe, CT (exact address provided after registration).
Our projects this month are pictured above–
A 12″ Magnolia Wreath that will be perfect all year long and can be re-designed each season/holiday. We will create the wreath, and learn two new paint mediums 1) Rub n’ Buff which is a metallic wax that can be used to add a bit of shimmer and shine to pretty much anything in your metallic color choice (think oil rubbed bronze, satin, antique gold) 2)We will also work with clear spray paint (yes there’s such a thing!) to give our magnolia leaves a shiny coat.
Also, a Wooden Photo Holder (our project will be a 24″ round ) complete with twine and mini clothespins to allow flexibility for changing out pictures(or even an awesome report card) at a whim. We will work with hammers and drills, and our paint medium will be oil based Stain.
Class will be the usual $39 registration fee, and our material fee for this workshop will be $25 which covers everything you need to complete the two projects.
