Hi! I’m Kelly and welcome to our 2nd Chance Restoration page! We are a family owned business started by accident after I lost my corporate job due to layoffs. I needed to provide an income somehow, and even though I had been painting small furniture pieces since I was young, it never occurred to me to take a hobby and passion and turn it into something bigger. We started small with a desk here and there, and then bureaus, etc. Then we noticed a need for cabinets to be transformed (bathrooms AND kitchens), and banister updates, and whitewashing of fireplaces etc… We pride ourselves on seeing a need and being the ‘go to’ place for so many who are looking to do some refreshes to their homes.
Here we are more than 10 years later with hundreds of clients, a 98% referral rate, countless pieces that have been restyled and thousands of cabinet doors that have been transformed. We love working with our clients who are striving to keep their family heirlooms as showcase pieces and are excited to see what each year has in store for us. I hope you’ll join us on the journey and enjoy looking through our website for inspiration…

2nd Chance Restoration3 hours agoThis one is probably our biggest and most wild ride so far! You'll want to schedule some time to fully process this video as it's one of those where you really can't believe the Before and After are the same kitchen 👀
This kitchen was limited in layout and optimization, but desperately needed some space maximizing done without the cost of a 'down to the studs renovation'. Trouble spots were many and ranged from a cooktop in the middle of the only real prep space, an unused wine rack, a 3 tier bank of upper cabinetry, and a tile countertop (with fancy food pictures on them)…this was going to be one for the books no matter what the team did 😃
Here’s the cliff notes of what changed:
✅ removed the wine rack
✅ removed the awkward 3 tier upper cabinetry
✅ relocated the double oven to the old wine rack space
✅added new lower cabinets in the desk area
✅added new cabinets for storage and moved the cooktop
✅ ordered brand new doors and drawers
✅relocated the microwave
✅created a concealed garbage slide out
✅replaced countertop
✅ripped up old tile and installed new hardwood flooring
Carpentry done by JNJ Remodeling LLC, flooring by Courtesy Carpet, countertop by Vita Marble and Granite
For a fraction of the cost of a full remodel, this family has a beautiful light and bright kitchen that maximized the space AND tripled the amount of counter and prep space. Sometimes just a little creativity and ingenuity is all that's needed ❤️
